Champagne and Raspberries
This is one of my favorite celebratory drinks – champagne or prosecco with fresh fruit. Since Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching I wanted to try something new and since it falls on a Sunday I wanted it to be brunch friendly. If you haven’t had champagne and raspberries yet, you need to try this recipe. It’s super simple, light and delicious. Plus I’m using Chambord Vodka. I didn’t even know there was such a thing so, of course, I had to try it.
Normally I suggest not using a super high-end champagne if it’s going to be mixed with anything. That being said – if you are celebrating a special occasion you can’t go wrong with Veuve Clicquot. It won’t break the bank and its really good. It’s what I’m using here today, feel free to substitute your favorite bubbly.
Champagne and Raspberries
1 bottle of Veuve Clicquot (chilled)
1 bottle of Chambord vodka (if you cannot find it you could use the liqueur)
fresh raspberries
champagne flute
Directions
drop 1 raspberry in the bottom of champagne flute, smoosh slightly to release color and flavor
pour 1 oz Chambord vodka over raspberry
tilt glass and pour champagne slowly down the inside of the flute to fill (this keeps the champagne bubbly)
That’s it! So simple yet tons of flavor.
As always, let me know if you try it I’d love to hear what you think.
Interested in a blueberry alternative? I created this recipe for A Dish of Daily Life and it’s pretty great too.
This recipe is intended for those 21 and older. Please drink responsibly.
This looks so simple and yet so tasty. Going to have to try. Thanks 😉
